We took in Mercy Jr on 14 June 2021 from another AWG. She was rescued on 8 June by an independent rescuer who sought the help of the 1st AWG for medical aid when she saw that Mercy was sick. As the AWG was unable to keep Mercy for rehoming, we were approached. We decided to take her in because she has already missed the chance of a home in 2016 when she was caught by another AWG, sterilized, chipped and returned back to the street as a young dog. We did not want her to miss another chance at getting a home.

Mercy is a very sweet gal. She is quite small sized. She came in a badly matted furcoat condition. Because she was mild and gentle, we managed to shave her on the 1st day of arrival and then bathed her on the 3rd day. From the look of the injury around her muzzle and inside her mouth (both side of the gum suffered lacerations), it is possible that Mercy had something tied around her mouth. She was rescued near Nature Farm along Lorong Pasu where we rescued Gideon who also had a rope bound around his waist. It makes us wonder if there is some abuse going on with the homeless dogs around there because it is 2 cases in 6 months.
